In celebration of Dr. D'Wayne Edwards being named the 2022 Footwear News Person of the Year and his impactful journey, we designed a special "Believe" hoodie. This one-of-a-kind capsule piece pays tribute to Dr. Edwards' remarkable life story, from his humble beginnings in Inglewood to his pioneering role in the footwear industry.
The hoodie commemorates his transformative journey, highlighting milestones such as his leadership in the industry, the founding of Pensole Academy, and its evolution into the world's only design-focused HBCU. Each milestone is a testament to his perseverance, innovation, and the belief instilled in him by his mother.
The "Believe" hoodie serves as a symbol of inspiration, reflecting Dr. Edwards' unwavering belief in himself and his ability to make a lasting impact in the world of footwear design and education.
